Yippiekiyay is a small startup that wants to be the Turbotax of nonprofit organizations, providing online forms and assistance to navigate the complex IRS regulations required for 501(c)3 status. After long discussions with the founders and a competitive analysis, I broke down their process into clear steps for filing and compliance. The site begins with a simple checkbox survey that recommends a relevant plan.

Based on internal documents, marketing material and magazine interviews with the founders, I wrote the headlines and copy for the site while designing the screens, as well as print collateral. After five years, the company is still using my messaging and copy: Mission Control for Nonprofits! Where are you on the journey?
