Let’s talk about a project

The web is a canvas. A soapbox. A social theater.
It's where your business gets done. Two rules: Make sure you have a story to tell, and make sure you get Frank to tell it.

Shatner’s Mystery Guest

branded interactive entertainment

William Shatner is one of a kind. A&E Television Network wanted a unique viral web game to promote the opening season of his talk show, Raw Nerve. The game was featured on the A&E Bio website.

I created the concept of a “mystery guest” format with two modes. You can play a regular game against the clock, trying to guess each mystery guest from clues — and you can create a custom version of the game featuring yourself or someone you know. Upload a photo and information, and share the game with your friends.

Bonus: an additional idea pitched (and personal favorite) was the Shatner Haiku Generator. Select words from dropdown menus to create a MadLib-style haiku poem. When you’re ready, click the button to hear your creation in Shatner’s own voice! The options were drawn from a database library of pre-recorded words spoken by Shatner and spliced together for seamless audio. Finally, a game as idiosyncratic as the man! (But sadly never developed.)
