Post Planner began as a Facebook-only posting app, but over several years they expanded their social platforms, and more importantly, pivoted from a publishing scheduler to a smart application allowing marketers to search and discover high-performing content (articles, photos and video ranked by past performance).
The site required a rebranding to incorporate their new focus on smart content and recommended metrics.
I crafted a story theme for the brand centered around the “mad scientist” energy of the founder. I drew the illustrations centered on a loose science theme: chalkboards, formulas, beakers, atoms, turing machines, and a scientist doodle featured on all the footers. A limited color palette, hand-drawn font, messaging filtered through “smart” and “science”, and Material Design UI completes the distinctive identity.
