Decision Resources Group offers an Insights Platform with customer access to almost unlimited healthcare data. The challenge was to show a coherent story leading a hypothetical user through the complexity of the platform. This conforms with the holistic and personal identity Aericon and I developed for their brand. A mobile phone with messages from a boss and a user’s checklist provides structure to the tasks. A narrative of preparing a report on breast cancer drugs is shown without words.
I worked with the company designer of the Insights Platform to decide which application screens were important to showcase. Then we pieced together a plausible story for why a user would navigate to those screens. Instead of screencasts of someone recording their mouse using an app, I took screenshots of all screens and animated the effects, which allowed for subtle animation enhancements. The video was animated with Flash, then exported to mp4.
